Why Must You Visit Gardens By The Bay Of Singapore?

At the heart of the concrete jungle of Asia Pacific's most electrifying metropolis, Singapore, nestles a beautiful recreation of a tropical rainforest, viz the Gardens By the Bay. It is a perfect getaway located right in the middle of the city and tourists from all over to come appreciate its beauty.

The Gardens by the Bay are the one of the primary attractions in Singapore tour packages. If you are drawn by the beauty of nature, this place is a must visit for you.

The vast 250 acres of area is divided into three main sections viz. Bay Central Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay South Garden. There are also three conservatories: Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and Supertree Grove and two themed gardens: Children garden and horticulture themed garden.

The primary attraction of the Gardens by the Bay are its observatories, specially Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. An amazing thing about them is that they’re so big that even if a lot of people visit it at the same time, it doesn’t seem crowded. There could be a bit of long queues at the entry but once you step inside you’re in a complete different world. The Flower dome is nothing less than a fairyland with various kinds of flowers in full bloom.

Similar to Flower Dome, Cloud Forest is also situated inside a huge glasshouse. Right in the middle is a 35m tall mountain of greens covered in all kinds of vegetation, mostly from the tropical mountains. There is also an indoor waterfall which is the tallest one in the world. It is an absolute sight for sore eyes.

The temperature inside the observatory is kept at a steady 23-25°C which is usually cooler than the temperature outside. So, avoid wearing flimsy clothing or you’ll feel chilly. The Cloud Forest is open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and the last ticket sale takes place at 8:00 PM. You’ll require to pay 28 SGD for a combination ticket which includes entrance fee to the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome. For more information about the Gardens by the Bay visit their website.
